The following Weekend is a visit to Curborough, a small SPRINT circuit for timed events.

Airfield Day:
( Contribution by John Arnold )
Elvington Airfield nr York
The airfield offers a different experience. It's more of a driver improvement day.OK, it's really a massive open space with a track coned out that you can thrash the bejezus out of your car on in the safest environment possible.
Tonnes of runnoff and you are positively encouraged to drive sideways.I know their trainers have not come to Elvington before but I'm sure it could be arranged to get them up here. For the record these guys are approved driver trainers and I know one of them is involved in Lotus handling R&D. He charges about a £10 for people to go out with him and I've known no-one who hasn't raved about it.
Facilities wise there's ambulance cover, usually a tyre van for changing tyres (the surface is quite abrasive and if you drive like me your tyres ain't gonna last long), a NAFFI on the museum grounds for lunch (the museum is NOT affiliated with the airfield so you aint gonna get a free look around though they are fine for us to use there canteen).
Basically it's a very safe, professionally run day and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I would be happy to arrange this if you think it's a good idea.
