The 6 cars doing the full trip plus 13 other supporters assembled at the bandstand after a short queue on the front! Time had been taken earlier to prepare as many of the cars as possible in full trip livery too!
At the bandstand they all awaited the arrival of the Lifeboat then it was a lights on Salute to the bravery of the lifeboat crews.
With the crew ashore of course some wanted to take advantage of the situation....
And what car site wouldn't be complete without the girl and boy pics :-) And of course the special cars in the background!
From the bandstand a quick run up to Captain Cooks monument and the 'Whale Bones' so we all knew where to start from in the morning, and to catch the sunset.
And now to look forward to the night time celebrations and the start of the adventure!
